The original paperback book tie-in, published to coincide with the release of Michael Mann’s “Thief” in UK cinemas (for some odd reason, the film was retitled as “Violent Streets” for the UK market, which explains the different title on the cover here, alongside a great image of James Caan).

Interestingly, Thief was based on a book that had yet another different title “The Home Invaders”, written by Frank Hohimers.

Collector’s note: There are no other pictures inside this book. It is “complete”, it’s just one of those books that opted to not include any photographs from the movie inside, at the time.
